Join McGee Young for a review of Recurve’s investigation into how energy savings can be accurately accounted for when energy use is disrupted by COVID. Recurve recently published a report for the Department of Energy that shows how automated comparison groups can net out COVID related impacts on energy consumption.
This webinar will review the challenge of COVID impacts on M&V, showing how energy use changed dramatically in the months after COVID hit, as well as summarize the research and development that went into the report’s findings. For this report, Recurve analyzed the data from nearly 500,000 smart meters across residential, commercial, and industrial customers to evaluate new methods for developing and implementing comparison groups as an integrated part of program deployment. The final report contains recommendations for standardized methodology for using comparison groups to track exogenous impacts on energy consumption within portfolios.
